Women in Sustainability welcome The Wonky Food Company

21st Mar, '18

The Wonky Food Company was one of several businesses to attend Oxford’s first Women in Sustainability (WINS) Network Hub event last night. Feedback from a taster session in the city in February showed considerable demand for a forum for professional women to meet others passionate about creating change and building a positive future.

The event took place at The University of Oxford’s Centre for the Environment and was hosted by WINS Oxford Hub facilitator Thalia Carr, who introduced Women In Sustainability founder and author, Rhian Sherrington.

Two of The Wonky Food Company’s founders, Ashley Cavers and Laura Snook, were among around 60 guests representing a variety of different sectors, but all with the common purpose of trying to build a more sustainable world.

Guests enjoyed some speed networking as well as the opportunity to taste food supplied by local sustainable food businesses, The Wonky Food Company and Fairfull.
