Be a conscious consumer

Be a conscious consumer

It’s hard to avoid all the noise persuading us to ‘buy, buy, buy’ at this time of year. But while we also love a bargain and of course, rely on our lovely customers wanting to buy our delicious relishes, we believe there is a balance to be struck.

So, alongside many other responsible brands, we’re avoiding the Black Friday hype and want to advocate an attitude of conscious consumerism.

What is conscious consumerism?

Conscious consumerism means buying more sustainably and ethically, being mindful of the environmental and social impact of your purchasing decisions. The following are a few prompts to help you be a more conscious consumer:

  • Buy only what you need
  • Avoid excess packaging
  • Reduce, reuse, recycle
  • Seek out ethical brands
  • Beware ‘green-washing’
